Judy Schiller's true gift to the world is her ability to empower people to try something new, to stretch outside of their comfort zone, and/or to be the best they can possibly be. Judy treats everyone she meets respectfully, no matter their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, etc. She is a warm, caring, diverse woman, who is not afraid to speak up and say or ask for the truth, especially if it's to support the "underdog."

Judy grew up in the Midwest of the US, in the state of Minnesota, which you can still hear occasionally in her self-proclaimed "unusual" accent. (She often says, "Imagine a combination of Minnesotan, German, and Spanish accents all mixed together, and that's me!") She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a bachelor's degree in German and Business Administration. She graduated magna cum laude from Saint Michael's College in Vermont, with a master's degree in adult education and teaching English as a Second Language.

Judy has touched hundreds, possibly even thousands, of lives, not only in Denver, Colorado, where she has lived for the last 10 years but also around the world. In Minnesota, Judy tutored Hmong refugees in such topics as the fundamentals of American measurements. While living in Munich, Germany, she trained German business executives and bankers how to negotiate in American English. She did educational consulting work for the US Department of Aid in Panama City, Panama, where she opened Panama's first "binational center," a place to learn English and promote cultural exchange between the two countries. For more than two years, she ran the Department of Foreign Languages at a prestigious private university in Managua, Nicaragua, in Central America. Upon returning to the United States to raise the nine-year-old son, Carlos, she adopted from Nicaragua, she successfully managed the training needs of 750+ employees at a major public school district in Denver.

In 2007, she pursued her life-long dream of founding her own coaching and training business,
Because Life Is Short, so that she can share her talents with an even larger audience. She is an active member of the Denver Coach Federation (DCF) and adheres to the ethical guidelines set forth by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Throughout her entire life, Judy has been walking the path of truth, advocacy, and simplicity, both on a personal and global level. After encountering some mighty big "bumps" along her own personal journey, Judy lives each day to the fullest, "with no regrets!" Judy seeks to find the sacred in everyday traditions and rituals she creates in her life, and she considers herself to be a true steward of Planet Earth.
